Hi guy,
Not really sure how to explain this, but here it goes.
Looking for some help. I am in sales and we get a lot of call ins to our main line and the first person to pick up the line gets the call.
We currently just keep hitting the answer button and whoever gets there first wins (Seems like some stations ring first then the others get the call--any way to prioritize who gets the first ring?
Is there any way to program my station so that I ring first?
Is there any way to set auto answer on calls transferred from our main line which is ext 515.
This is driving me crazy I've missed out on so many calls, since i'm late hitting my call or answer button.
Hoping someone can help.

What's happening is that your calls are ringing that group and the group is set to ring certain phones. You are going to need a samsung tech to be able to come out and change the programming as to how the phones ring. There is a distribute mode where the calls can be equally distributed to each station. 1st call to 201, 2nd call to 202, 3rd call to 205, etc... You need someone to be able to set this up that has the knowledge to do so.

Thanks for the response. Anything I can do at my station to get my phone to ring earlier in the que? Also would adding an extender key to my extension do anything?
Thanks again

To answer your question, no and no. The groups are setup to ring in a certain way. One thing you may try to do is if you can hear the phone ringing, dial 65 and the extension of one of the ringing phones. That may allow for you to answer it earlier. The extender buttons just allows you to program certain things on a button. Depending on what it is already pre-programmed for.

Ok, Is there a way to program a button to pick up the extension that is forwarding the call to our hunt group. Call comes in and then they are forwarded to our main line. Then All our phones ring and we all rush to pick it up. Is there an option for direct pickup? How can I look to see what groups i'm in? Also is there an order in which the calls are dispersed. For example extension 1 rings then ext 2 and so on. Is there a way to see where my extension is on that list? Just looking for any sort advantage here.

No offense but as an end user you really can't do this without getting into programming. And since you already said you're in sales that probably isn't going to happen. Seeing the groups and such is beyond what you should be getting involved in it's not "your system".

Get a Samsung certified tech to do the programming, it will take less than 15 minutes for him to program what you described above.

I think more importantly how calls are routed to the sales dept is a management decision not a sales reps call . That's One of the reasons we don't give out detailed programming instructions in the open forums here .
