Has anyone had an issue with the MBX not retaining programing after reseting system? I purchased the "demo package" which is just a MBX 100, 8 port co card and Voicemail. I added two 24 port DKT cards. I typed in the name of the customer in the pre-program section of the programing saved it and went to program 103 so that i could re-arange the cards, I wanted the station numbers to start at 100 on the first 24 port station card instead of 113. After I saved the change I clicked on the reset button, the system reset but all the program info was lost. I double checked the battery and mode switches... Battery on Mode off. Re-initialized KSU toggled switches and still would lose programing after a reset. This is my first MBX to install and I may be doing something wrong. I just don't know what it could be. Been trying Vertical... first got RNA now getting busy.

Yes after reading the Quick Start Guide and following the instructions I had the same issues. It does not state that both the mode and battery need to be on. Also you must set admin and maintenance passwords and usernames to be able to fully program all aspects of the system. I learned this the hard way by not programming a maint password and having to wipe 8 hours of programmming to start over.
At the end of the day, If you didnt try your hardest, you didnt try at all!
Also you MUST wait for the system to come all the way up (I would wait 5 minutes) before turning both switches on. if you don't you may have a glitch that can't be fixed with out defaulting and hand programing the system. I learned that the hard way.

Why did you have to start over? Setting the password just opens up other fields. It should not have an effect on the information you already programmed.
I had to start over because their was something corupt in the program. No it didn't have anything to do with opening up the maintance field I guess i should have put that on as a PS
