Catfish Member Joined: Jan 2007 Posts: 254 Ventura, CA	This belongs to a customer. He asked if I could fix it, so I said I'd give it a try. Said he opened up the handset and thought he saw a broken wire, but I haven't opened anything up on it, yet, picked it up this afternoon. It came from Thailand 20+ years ago, the customer thinks it's from a hotel. I have no idea. Probably not really antique, but thought I'd share. Interesting phone, the likes of which I've never seen before. This thing is 42" tall and weighs about 20lb. I love the label. I'll be taking more pictures as I take it apart to some degree. If anyone knows about something like this please chime in!

I didn't think it was antique since the customer said he got it Thailand 20 some years ago, which would correspond to the info at your link. rustynails - that was the first thing I asked! No bowl? No hoses? What good is that thing? So far all I can find wrong with it is it's always off-hook and the dial doesn't return completely, although it's far enough to complete a call correctly. Maybe get to it on Sunday. Thanks, all!

Yhe major problem is the connectors used to connect the wiring to the pc board break and the connector falls off the board. Solution: Solder all connectors to the board.
