Can anybody look at the back of their I/O panel and tell me what actual wires are on port 1?

I picked up a used 108 didn't get the I/O panel with it, (thought maybe I already had one)

I do have the service tail, I'm trying to rig it until I get the panel. TIA wink

well, I thought I was close a few times, got the splash screen, but keyboard is no responce.

I really thought it would'nt be that hard to figure out, it's only 3 wires!!!

Problem is "which 3 " ?????

This is what I found doing a search, but it doesn't work?

Cable Pin out Port 1:
cable to DB25 or DB9
Green /Red 2 3
Blue/Red 3 2
--------
--------
Orange/Red 7 5
Yellow/Blue 20 4

Cable Pin out Port 2:
cable to DB2 or DB9
Green /Yellow 2 3
Blue/Yellow 3 2
--------
--------
Slate/Red 7 5
Yellow/Green 20 4

Try this wiring configuration.
(I used a V.O. Meter)

I/O Panel--Amphenol----DB9
--Pin#------Color------Pin#
---2--------GR/R--------3
---3--------BL/R--------2
---5--------BR/W-------7
---6--------OR/W-------9
---7--------OR/R--------1
---20-------Y/BL--------4

Good Luck!

END:

Tried that...still no go, got a little garbarge and some noise on procomm bong,bong..

Your wiring looks almost like the one i found posted on this board back in 2003 from ' JJ '

But, for some reason, I was actually getting the splash screen using w/bl, bl/w and w/gn pairs?
unless maybe they control the rs422 ports?

I do have the "e-docs " CD, but..I'll need to Dummy down my PC to run it (only runs on adobe 3.0) ?

Walt, I've given up !

Splash screens, that's about all I get, tried multible CPU's.

Guess I'll have to revisit the site, and pick up the I/O panel...maybe next week.

Thanks!

Well, I gave it some time, I tried THIS again:

Cable Pin out Port 1:
cable to DB25 or DB9
Green /Red 2
Blue/Red 3
--------
--------
Orange/Red 7
Yellow/Blue 20

I got it working on an Older 432 CPU...:>)

But, it does Not work with 648 Cpu 2.5.1 :>(
