Is the CO providing clock? Do you have more than one digital circuit in the PBX? Have you checked the strapping on the backplane of the IPX500 to make sure the clock source is set correctly?

How do I check the strapping on the backplane? When I have NO sync set, I can do faxing, and I can set it in software to slot 0,4 and the faxes don't go at all.

If you mean jumpers on the UDT: JP18 - 1,2 JP19 - 2,3 JP20 - 2,3 JP21 - 1,2
The other jumper is closed I don't have the number handy.

Oh also. Only one PRI. The CO is providing clock, according to them. Is there a way for me to check this?

Jumpers are on the backplane of the IPX500. These set the sync slots for primary and secondary clocking.

Just got off the phone with Tadiran and got the info on the strapping as you posted. Checked it, sure enough jumpers 7 and 8 were not set. Seems to be working like a champ now. Checking with the LEC now to make sure there are no more errors.

FYI for anyone else reading this. On your cabinet 0 on an ipx500, the jumpers are behind the power supply.
