I am trying to switch a remote IP phone on an ESI IVX-X class system from extension 170 to 164. In ESI-Access, in F-31 I am trying to set up the extension. In F-821 the base UDP port is set to 59.

When I go into the UDP Port field and type 59, instead of populating the field with 164 it is populating it with 264 (giving me port 59264). I have already changed extension 170 to Local IP, in case it was a licensing issue. I am still unable to set the port properly.

Am I missing something? I do not have access to F-81 so I cannot determine if I am just having a licensing issue or something.

I'm guessing because you said you are changing ext. #'s that x170 was working before you started. If this is the case leave f-821 as it was, this is a global setting for the IVC card. All you need to change is f-31, the phone, and ensure portforwarding for the new UDP. Remove the mac address form x170 and put it in x164 along with all of the other pertinant info for the extension in f-31. Then change the UDP in the phone using the standard method when on the same LAN as the IP-PBX or using esi-address if off-prem. Don't forget to port-forward the new UDP to the IVC card IP. That should do it.

The UDP port should be 59164. For some unknown esi-reason it gets populated as 592xx in the field, just change to 591xx.

Open Esi-Access, Highlight the system, Select EDIT at the top of the screen, Select Card/Slot Configuration. List your card types in order.

Card 1 ?
Card 2 ? and so on.............

You won't need to be actually connected to do this, info from your previous connection will suffice.

SST: I did leave f-821 as it was, I was just pointing out the value I have for UDP. The problem is that I can;t change it to 59164. That field only allows two #s to be entered and then it adds the 264 and it cannot be overwritten. I did move the MAC address and put in all the other pertinent info.

grider: I am using ESI-Access.
Card Card Type
1 E2-D12
2 E2-D12
3 E2-D12
5 E2-684
6 IVC-5R

All in Cabinet 1. Do you need the Avail CO, Digital, & Analog or Port Ranges? That all seems to be related to internal not remote phones.

That indicates slot 4 to be empty, is that correct?

try going into the field for the UDP port, and just Highlite the last 3 digits and then type in the number you are trying to use.

Unless i am missing something in looking at the documents on the X Class you can't change the last 3 digits of the UDP ports - they are either 001 for the processor or the 3 digit extension #. On the new CS systems the last 3 can be changed. If you can't get it straightened out you may need to use tech support.

One last thought - have you tried programming this parameter using the phones versus the PC?

I was just in an e-class yesterday. I had no trouble changing UDP 59226 to 59126 in f-31.......sometimes the system sets the UDP ports as 592xx. I've seen this many times and just change it to 591xx....
