Well we finally cut ove an ESI 100 in the office today, so if you ESI guys don't mind I may be picking your brain with a few questions. First thing that has me concerened or disappointed is this: We answer the calls live during business hours, If my receptionist is on a call and a second call comes in, her phone does not ring nor does it show caller id info on her phone. Am I missing something in progamming? Walter

Walter, I'm not as up to speed as the others on the "100's" but on all of the ESI systems I deal with I know that there is "Call Waiting" per extension that needs to be enabled. When it is enabled and the second call comes in the receptionist will get a background ring and she can take the second call by pressing the flash key. She can toggle between both callers using the flash key until she transfers the call or cancels it.
Don't accept this as the gospel, wait till a few of the others chime in.

How do you have ringing programmed? Directly to extension(s), or via a Station Ring Group?

have the lines ring a dept set as ALL and put the receptionist phone as a member and enable call waiting for the dept. When second call comes in she will here call waiting tone and see caller ID , just press the flash button to go to second call and flash again to go back to first call

I know on a 72e if the lines are set to ring an extension list and you are on another line you will here the second call ringing but you will not get caller ID, that is why I always have the lines ring a Dept.type(all)and enable call waiting that way you will see the caller ID on the second call(I just tested this )
