I inherited an IDS 84 that someone has changed the programming password on. I know that there is a way to get in via a backdoor, but can't seem to make it work. I sure would appreciate some help

Bernie,
What software level is it running? Can you enter programing using a lower level password? (Level1 trough level8)
If all else fails, use a BFH.

JJ, I am not sure of the software version, but it is at least eight years old. I tried lower levels, but they must have changed them all. Several years ago I accessed a system through a backdoor. (a control d executon f support sequence.) It has benn so long that I am not sure if I am doing it right. The particular switch is 60 miles away, but I do have access to one locally and do not have any problem getting into that one using HyperAccess. I would be eternally grateful if you can get me past the password. And so would the customer. Thank You!
