I have a 500 (node 1) and a 7100 (node 2) that are networked using SPNet. The customer has a station group in node 1 with several members. They want to have an extension from node 2 be part of the station group in node 1.
We've tried adding a virtual single line into the station group, then call forwarding it to the extension in node 2. It will work when testing if you point a DID number to the virtual single line (rings to the extension in node 2) - but it doesn't work if that virtual single line is in the station group. I now remember that a station that is call forwarded won't follow that forwarding if in a station group. Any of you veterans have any thoughts?

You can make the first ring group overflow to another group on the other node but thats it.

Thanks for the responses. Here's a work around in case anyone else runs into this. Take an available analog port at the main site and add it to the ring group. Terminate that analog port on available CO trunk port. Program that trunk port to ring the station in the other node. Not the perfect solution but it works as long as you have an open analog port and CO trunk port.
