I have a Prostar 56/120 which loses its memory and defaults with even the briefest of power cuts.
The service tech came out and replaced the 12v batteries the other day and it is still exhibiting the same issue. (I put the system on a UPS just to be 'safe') The 110v plug was out for three seconds and it again lost everything.
Today when he returned he told me "the batteries didn't take" and basically threw his arms up.
I wonder if the CPU board has a lithium battery, and what can I do to fix this. I thought the 12v provided power for the system in the event of a cut.
Thanks for any information.

There is a 3.6 volt nicad inside the program module . Its a daughter board on the CPU ,probably encased in plastic.
If the control unit is plugged in to a decent battery backup I would guess your programming should hold, unless there are other issues like a lightning shot.
I just took out a single cabinet 56/120 with a "b" processor is about 2 years old and 30 +- phones ,If you would like it as a back up ,I cant imagine they would want much $ for it,and I can put you in touch directly.

Find the nearest dumpster, then call a Samsung dealer to bring you up to speed.
