We have a client with a DX-80 and a 7271C V-mail The client called to report the v-mail was down. We were able to log in via key link and we got the following code on reboot. System error 6316 unknown event code (8192) received on channel 1 from DX80. Called tech support and they said the drivers need to be reloaded and suggested King since it is out of warranty. They have a 10 day turn around time. Is there any way I can get a copy of the drivers and load them myself?

That's pretty annoying tech support would say that since they have the flash card program on the CCC.

I don't think they have it on the ccc anymore. they stopped supporting that program some time ago, if it's still on there I haven't been able to find it.

Those are the upgrade files but it doesn't include the utility required to load them on a flash card is the way I understand it.

Mark, I stand corrected. It's the same file name but rather than the executable for imaging a flash card, it's now just a self extracting zip file.
I'm glad I saved 8510 and 8511b.
I'll bet the repair houses complained about losing the easy money formatting CF cards and charging $$$$.

That might be. They told me it was because some flash cards didn't work with the system and people were calling tech support and using up their time.

Actually Mark, that makes sense. I found a number of CF cards that didn't work.
I guess I need to put up my tin foil hat. LOL
