DX-120 - We programmed an analog port to dial a 'hotline' number and cannot cancel it... the cancel code is #*9* but the number that is saved in the designated speed dial hotline number that it is calling rings... evidently it isn't giving time beforehand -- maybe there is a way to add a delay so that i can get an intercom tone in order to dial the cancel code?
That didn't even accomplish what we were trying to do anyway... we were trying to program that analog port to automatically pick up on a certain outside CO line, without having to dial e.g. 9 or 803

Yes the Hookflash done quickly after going off hook will get you to ICM dial tone. The feature code for outside line "specific" selection is # 951 xxx (where xxx = the trunk number) on the 120 it's 800 and up. Mark

Wow... you guys are awsome! Quick, easy fix... Here I was afraid that I would have to do a Cold Restart and re-program everything! Surely there isn't a tech doc on Vertical's website or something in the tech manual I missed with the Hookflash resolution (as well as the #951 for that matter).......?? Thanks again!

The hook-flash explanation is in the user guide for the analog stations or the manual in the Hot-line programming I think. I found myself in a similar situation a year or so ago. The #951 information I got from another Mod here, he said it's in one of the analog guides but I couldn't find it. Welcome to the board. Now go out and pay it forward! Mark

Got it! Do you do a quick Hookflash to get a ICM tone?
Also, how to cancel the #951?
Thanks again!

To cancel, you enter #950. Earlier versions of software required actions with a speed bin!!

Yeah, the #950 doesn't seem to let me cancel it, the analog phone picks up on the programmed CO line (via #951) before we get the opportunity to enter #950 to cancel... likewise, a Hookflash doesn't seem to switch me over to a ICM tone either.... it just gives me a busy.
Secondly, it seems that the #951 is not port-specific, as it appears that all 4 analog ports now pick up on that CO line.
Thanks!

Ok, I got the #950 entered by extending the SLT Hookflash option in programming (Timing).... so I guess the remaining question is - Is there a way to program only a particular Analog port to pick up on a particular CO line, leaving the other 3 ports to pick up on ICM -OR- different CO lines? I think that we did this once with about a 19-step process that involved adding the Analog extension to a UCD Group, etc......? Thanks!

It is port specific on the DX80, I don't have a 120 here to test with. I'd like to know if this is a bug or a programming error. Mark

Analog ports, by default, provide intercom dial tone and it is impossible to distinguish between co and itcm tone. To make one co port the prime go off hook from the analog port and dial #951 dial 800 to 839 or pool code, confirmation tone is heard then go on hook. To cancel go off hook then hook flash dial #950 confirm tone then go on hook. This procedure works on both the 80 and 120 and I have both in shop! The only exception are line port numbers. Adjusting SLT flash timing should never need modification. 200 to 1000ms is a very generous range.
