Thanks guys,

I guess you gave me the confidence I needed. I read the guide and reprogramed the system. I must have had the battery dip switch off and lost the memory. Everything is fine now. Maybe I'll have this another 20 years?? I feel like a pro now!

Thanks again,
Roscoe

Nice going!! I'm glad to see that happen. Those old Trilliums are really something. There's not much to them---so not much goes wrong. Just don't lose that fold out.

JW,
Yeah..I couldn't find that foldout for weeks...thought I lost it. This old equip is pretty good stuff. I'd hate to upgrade.

One other piece I still use is called the Complete Communicator. It is a hard card that goes into an old 486 system running 3.1 for workgroups I have around. It answers the phone, will page me or forward calls and much more. I've had it for over 20 years and works better than any answering machine.

Thanks again,
Roscoe

Roscoe- I am having the same problem with my Trillium. Can you tell me how you programmed it to ring on the other stations? I do not have the fold out. Anyway I could get you to email/fax me a copy of yours?

HUGE Thanks!!

Tim,
The foldout is about 3 x 4 feet so I cannot scan the whole thing. However, I scanned the page that explains ring programming and put it up on my server. It is a LARGE file so you may want to save it to disk instead of viewing it.

Let me know how you make out,
Roscoe

Any chance of getting you to do the same thing for the part of the card that tells how to program whether outdialing is allowed on a line? Can only outdial on 1 and 2 and would like to enable 3.

Also, do you know if there is any way to get the 612 rto touch dial by default other than always pressing asterisk on the keyset.

Thanks.

Outgoing calls should be the default.

Here's what the sheet says:

Doal program code 5xx0 (xx is the 2 digit line number from 01-06) (Mic indicator will turn off)

Incoming calls only: press the line 3 key to turn the line 3 indicator either on or off according to the indicator chart.

The chart says L3 should be on for incoming calls only. Intercom, L3, L2 and L1 should be off for default.

I see nothing related to touch dialing on the chart. However, the manual says 'press the line key of an outside line or press * then press the desired speed call key.

So it appears that you do not necessarily have to hit the *.

Hope this helps,
Roscoe

I've seen it happen a lot. The Panther system won't die. Memory battery dies and durring power outage it goes to default which is extension 10 only phone ringing. Easy to program. I have a customer I reprogram once a year when it craps out. He won't spend money on a battery or new system, just budgets my time in.

Does any one know how to switch the "main" phone to another location in our office? There is a phone hooked up there, we are re-locating a few desks. Our phone company is on strike and all the repair places are telling me a month before they can come in... So if any one can send me instructions it would be appreciated...

Hello Tara, gosh that wouldn't be Telus would it?? You're going to need some punch tools and wire to perform your change I'm afraid. If your wiring is well labelled you might get it, but if not...
