I have a Trillium Panther 612 system. Had it for years. Recently the system will not ring at any of the three stations I have. I cannot figure it out. Even the on-hold reminder does not ring. Any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks, Roscoe https://www.priveye.com

Have you tried resetting it?--unplug --wait for about a minute---then plug it back in.

I tried the reset and pulled the plug, but only about 10 sec. No luck.
Do you think leaving it unplugged for a minute will make a difference?
Thanks, Roscoe

I've only had it about 19 years but it has served me well. I work out of my house now and do not want to go to any added expense. I've got 5 lines coming in here.
Thanks, Roscoe

If you do a search on E-Bay for "Trillium Panther"--you'll find quite a few items for sale. You may have to replace the KSU. If the lines are still programmed to ring on those phones---and they don't--your KSU may be shot. Can you program other things and undo the programming. Can you switch line ports and program them to ring? Have you tried different ports on the KSU for the phones? Instead of 1,2 & 3- use ports 4, 5 & 6. If new programming doesn't seem to take--then the KSU is probably gone. Good Luck

JW, Thanks for the reply. What do you mean by 'ports'? I'm a bit of a novice but not totally ignorant regarding electronics. Can you give me a little more specifics?
Also, all the dip switches are off.
I still have that original fold out installation guide. How would I program the lines to ring? Does it tell me in the guide?
Thanks for all the advice, Roscoe

I hate to be negative, but you might really want to get into a new system. We used to repair those telephones and finally stopped because the components in the phones seemed to be getting a little old and tired. They would come in with one thing wrong, we would replace components to fix it, 6 months later another couple of components had blown so it would be back in under warranty... ------------------ Intertel Telephone Repair Toshiba Telephone Repair

Thanks for the bad news. I still want to try to salvage it if it is ok. If it turns out to be a bad ksu then I'll have to get a new system.

The programming instructions should be on that fold out. You may have lost all of your programming ---there is a battery that holds the programming--if it's no good---then everytime the power is shut off to the KSU--then your programming will go back to default. That fold out should tell you how to set up ringing. Those were hanging on all the shop walls at one time---but got thrown out when the Triliiums got replaced by newer systems in the early 90s. Hang on to that. Read that fold out, and learn how to program it. If you want to keep it, you may as well know how to program.
