I work in a Hospital with about 15 Vodavi Sts systems. ans one XTS. From time to time we have strange problems happen. So I loose random caller id here and the re on the STS. Sometimes I unplug the phone and it resets ans it works for a while. Other times I turn off the systems it reboots and them it works. It can go months to days in between doing this. I don't how else to fix it??? Also we have been loosing programming on certain stations out of now where. I have moved the station to a new position and it happened again. Now there is 2 stations in the system doing this . Some times it looses programming after a couple of days, sometimes months.. Does this make sense?? Does anyone know what going on???
Other issue we are having is can't get into a couple of systems with a laptop because the password must have been changed before I started working here. Which sucks as the systems are maxed out and acting funny. Any solution to this???

I would try re-seating the Caller ID modules and if that doesn't work swap em' out.
As for the stations that are losing programming. It sounds like you may have a cabling issue. Maybe bad cable pairs shorting or something is causing the port to default. I would start with the cabling if you've tried a new extension port but didn't dismiss the cabling.
