Greets...

Here's another problem that got thrown at me.

I currently have another outside sales rep that has a call forward on his phone.

The display on the phone shows the following.
Quote
CALL FORWARD EXTERNAL +
CALL 416 - 222V
We've tried cancelling it using #6051, #6052, #6053, tried reprogramming the Call forward with #6041, #6011.

This extension has no voicemail associated to it, it just forwards to a cell phone when DND is activated.

Tried resetting the telephone program using [station programming mode], no avail.

I'm guessing the 222V means it's transfering to VoiceMail, but calling the extenjust rings busy.

Any pointers?

Do you have any PhDN's (phantom DN's) on the handset that are call forwarded?

You will need to press the PhND key and then dial the #6051, #6052, #6053 to cancel the divert

To clear the 416 - 222V dial 222 77 to see if this clears the MW message.

Are you saying that the DND button toggles on and off the call forward external?

sounds like he has a System Call Forward template that diverts only in DND mode to an external destination (cell number) or a speed dial number with the cell number stored in it.

No.

All it does is call extension 222 (different location).

This is the intended behavior as sometimes, outside sales do come in the office and need a phone to work with. Technically speaking, the call forward is always enabled, however when DND is on, it doesn't ring at all on the office phone.

This is, as stated above, the intended effect. However I think someone played with the extension (read station) locally and enabled some kind of call forward to extension 222.
I spoke to someone close by the phone this morning, apparently there is a message waiting (Message light blinking) but when pushed, it calls extension 222 (again).

I had the user use the #6051 command again, now the + sign is gone, but the rest of the display is still the same.

Alrighty.

#409 did clear the MSG light.
The display now only shows "Call Forward External" then the date and time.

#6051 does not clear it.
#6053 does not clear it.
