Hello all,
Long time lurker, first time poster.
I'm trying to install network emanager 5.20B11 on a Dell Latitude E6400 running Windows 7 Professional. Right after reaching the screen labeled 'setup status' I receive the following dialog box.
Error 1720. There is a problem with this windows installer package. A script required for this install to complete could not be run. Contact your support personnel or package vendor for assistance. Custom action CreateFTPVdirVista script error -2147024893, : Line 308 Column 2.
And then I recieve a 1603 fatal error.
I know that the 1603 error means an error occured that prevented the MSI package from sucessfully completed. I don't however understand the cause of the 1720 error.
My vendor told me that if I tried to install this that I would doing so @ my own risk as Toshiba doesn't officially support windows 7 yet.
Any help would be most appriciated.

Why did't you install NeM into the virtual XP mode as I have done so and it works very well. I just run the virtual xp and minimise it and then run IE8 from W7 as https://virtualxp/emanager and it runs as normal. There is not an official Windows 7 version available yet but it wont be long now.
Regards Carl

I'd considered that, but I discovered that it uses an additional CAL on what ever domain controller you may be connected to. But I may have to use XP mode

I was able to get NEM installed in XP mode, I've got to call our equipment vendor to assist me with setting it up. Thanks Carlos #1 for your help in getting it installed.
