hey so i have this customer asking me to build like 8 different call groups to if anyone calls the Extension

like 106 or 107 both 106 and 107 should ring or

112 118 or 119 all 3 should ring if someone calls on or the other now i know i can build like 3 buttons of exch ext but then

he also wanted if ext 127 - 136 Rings all those phones would ring so if 128 rings all phones would ring in that range

now im not sure with multiple call groups only because dont you have to dial the pilot of the multiple call group or can you just have a call group member on each phone so it only takes up one key....

learning this system quickly but of course im running into things smile

THanks

I'd probably stick with SDNs to accomplish this.

Same way you would have done the above...with Secondary DNs or SDNs.

but what about the range from 127 - 136 needed

and if anyone calls Actually now that i think about it its a DID not an extension inhouse but 127 - 136 all have their own DID number with a CFNA to VM but from the OUTSIDE they call one of them they want all the phones to ring on all 10 phones now i know i cant program 10 lines on each phone so i didnt know if i can throw them somehow in like a group of some sort

THanks wink

Either a PhDN/SDN HG set-up or a MCG Pilot that rings when the DID is called.

You could have DID->MCG Pilot->MCG Members (Immediate)->MCG Member (VM Pilot - Delay1)

OR

You could have DID->HG Pilot->HG Members/PhDN->CF-VM Pilot

Yes there is a VMID for MCG's. If I am getting you correctly though, it sounds like you have 10 ext's and each has a DID, but when you call each DID, they want all 10 ext's to ring and then go to a vm box based upon what DID is called? If that was the case and you wanted to go the MCG route, you would have to do 10 diffeent MCG's.

Ive never tried this but I was thinkin if you used one MCG for all 10 of these, would the VMID of the DID route it to the correct MB?

I think you can insert the VM ID in DID programming, on a per DID basis and it will work as you're thinking Travis, although I've never set it up that way myself.

darn im always tricky on the setups .... well the customer refered it to as a call ggroup and i was like hmmm he has about 8 sites with the CTX or the old strata so i think the terminology stayed the same with him ....

actually im normally a Mitel guy smile

But anyways THE mcg would i have to build 10 MCG grups with 10 in each smile

Right now i have all 40 Exts built with 40 DIDs

with PhDNs that the DIDS point to and i have a DID of a PhDN on each phone.

thats my current setup..

Thanks again
