I am trying to integrate the TVA50 to a KX-TA824 via APT integration. But every I apply the settings on the KX-TA824 all the voice mail extensions rings busy (107, 108 & even 115&116), thus preventing connection with the TVA50. INBAND connection does work but with limited feathers. Can someone point me in the right direction.THX.

Do you have correct software level? using 4 cond line cords? Plugging port 7 to 1st TVA jack and Port 8 to second TVA jack? Have A hybrid card in the TVA. 50's should ship with card 1 a hybrid, but you never know. Have you went to System Parameters - PBX Paramaters and set PBX type and APT intergration (in TV A Console)??

Hi, Thanks for your response, I have set the system parameter to APT on TV to no avail, I think my problem lies in the TA824 because as soon as I hit apply on the APT settings even with nothing connected to the voice mail ports(ex 107 & 108) it goes busy. I have tried with the TV configured and not-configure. Just don’t know what I am missing.

had this problem once before. i had to reset the port back as an ext pluged in a phone and try. then setup v/mail port again however this setup had to be the first thing done so really its better off to defult the system then setup the ports first if you have port 115 & 116 these are the ports you should use. peter www.vpi.ie

you set Apt in TVS and TA824? If VM is not connected to ports they should be busy in APT mode. Try Peter's suggestion. Set back to normal and plug in a Key set, make sure it works ok. Then set to APT. 4 conductor line cord. In TVA select PBX model and intergration mode. How old is 824? Early SW show not to support APT. 1.0.44 or later required.

I'm having the same issue.
"....if you have port 115 & 116 these are the ports you should use."
How would you use ports 115/166? VM1 APT Port in System-->Main doesn't give you the option.
I'm gonna default & start over...let you know what happens.
