I see, the original was a co resident. That is no longer in operation. What we have on the wall now is the nam and vm module. My quandry resides in why I can't get my voicemail. Every time I try the connection drops and it tries to tranfer to 301. I think it might be a line issue, but never having needed to configure this on my own I have little idea how to go about it.

The other thing is why does the system randomly not process calls. The customer gets a pickup and then the connection drops and then they get a dialtone.

We took the fiber connection out of the mics and now the viocemail seems to be working. This means we have the coresident setup again. Do we want this?

Or should we remove the VM files from the NAM and plug the VM module back in?

I think what happenend is when we put the HD img on the new system again we didn't selectively copy the ACD files over, like we had previously.

I'm not sure of the exact procedure in doing this as I have not had to do it myself, but yes you do want to remove the voicemail files from the ACD NAM so that you have 2 seperate units. One dedicated to voicemail and the other dedicated to ACD.

The voicemail functions as of right now from the NAM, we pulled the VM out of the loop. Now we need to figure out why ACD doesn't release the phonelines, stops call processessing and gives a fast busy to incoming calls.

So, any thoughts on this or are we gonna have to start from scratch?

Just to confirm, have you swapped out the fiber card out of the KSU? If so is it a 2 port fiber card or a 6 port combo card?
Secondly, what software release are you running on the KSU and which version is the NAM?

Assuming everything there is happy; I'd strongly consider doing a complete system install (fea **STARTUP). Yes, it's a pain and probably an extra 4 hours of programing, but you've already spent a dozen troubleshooting, so think of it as cutting your losses.

I can think of a dozen other issues that it could be, but these are fun places to start.

if you're running T1 be sure you have your keycodes. Be aware that your keycode may not funtion as a system default will probably change the system id and render any keycodes you useless.

Exactly my thoughts... but he wont need enabler codes since hes using two T1's and not PRI's.
I also say cut your losses and reset the NAM and MICS.

IMO, the can of worms had been opened when Walker started doing his own trouble shooting. Building his "Frankein phone system". If the owner cares about the business and its productivity, he/she should have no problem hiring a certafied reseller to do the job right the first time.

I say this because it obviously still is not 100%, its taking away the productivity of the company, and also your time Walker. While you can be worring about other things.

Good luck to you over there as I will check back every so often to see what the out come is.
