I have never been able to get Email Gateway working here on our 7100 I gave up in the end. So after reading the post I though Id have another play. And now it works!

We are sending to the public IP of our externally hosted exchange from a valid company email to another valid company email account.

I didn’t make any changes but log into the voicemail and change the port from 25 to 465 in both locations. This didn’t appear to work so I changed it back to port 25. Anyway a couple of minutes later I got the message sent on port 25 and 465. Could have been that one message sent on 465 prodded the mail server and now it accepts mail from that email address on port 25.

Strange as this mailbox had been attempting to send on port 25 once or twice a day for 6 months or longer and failed delivery.

The VG Key still flashes even if the message has been delivered via SMTP little strange...
