Just curious ,does the xdp port work simultaneous with the keyset? Also is there only one kind of keyset available for the sts?

There is only one keyset available for the STS, the 24-button digital display unit. What do you mean by XDP port?

There is an ADP port. All it does is bring the 2nd pair to a jack on the bottom of the phone. I guess it could make pluging in a laptop or someting less of a hassle since it puts the jack on your desk.

Thanks, So I guess this means you have to wire two pair to the jack?

Vodavi website says the STS has a maximum configuration of 24 CO lines, 48 digital stations and 2 analog ports. I was under the impression the ADP ports on the phones provided an extra analog extension. Also what are the thoughts on overall performance of this system?

I've installed a number of these and my customers have been very pleased. Has anybody else noted any issues with the In-Skin Flash Voice Mail?

I"ve done a few STS's and after passing the learning curve, I hav'nt had a lick of trouble with em. Out of the 6 or so systems 4 have had the inskin VM and I have'nt had any failures to date. The first install was in May and no problems so far. My only gripe is the documentation and sometimes conflicting answeres from tech support. I've only used the extra port on the phone once in a warehouse situation where I had to run the line cord across the floor in wiremold. After I got one phone on the desk they decided on another so I just used the extra port for the additional extension.

I feel your pain on the manual. From trial and error it's just a port you can use for anything. You can use it to bring power fail dial tone or another digital port. Just use a 2 pair line cord and jack then terminate whatever you want to the orange pair. Basically its' just a pass through.
