Looking to upgrade a 100 to a 670. Can I just run a backup of the 100 and restore to a 670? Is there any software version issues in the process?
I would hope I do not need to reprogram by hand.

You certainly can use the same db. Two considerations:
1. The software versions must be the same or higher on the 670.
2. Be aware of the time slots that each system has, ie. slot 1,2,3 of the 100 has 32 time slots in each, and slot 3 of the 670 has only 16 time slots. So therefore, you can have, for example, a full PRI in card slot 3 of the 100 and still have a BWDKU in slot 4. On the 670 if you have a full PRI in slot 3, slot 4 needs to remain open. So, you may have to do a little modifying of the db.

On most systems taking out certain cards prior to doing the back up makes it a bit easier. It may mean you have to do a little programming of the new trunk cards, etc., but chances are you are making trunk card changes anyway in a large upgrade so it is not like you are dumping much programming to do this.
Hey Mike
I can not recommend any technology platform, only technicians!
