I have a customer who has 10 extensions 5 of them programmed with 4 co lines the other 5 had 2 different co lines assigned. They have disconnected the 2 co lines on the 5 sets and want the 4 line that appears on the other to be added to these sets. In other words they would like for all sets to have the 4 lines to appear on them.I have did some programming on the NEC
but having problem with this issue. I anyone
can possibly help me I would be grateful.
I can get into programming mode but having
difficulty navigationg thru get errors.
Anyone that can talk me through this I'm
willing to listen.
Do you have remote access available to the pbx?
In program 10, find the LENs and write them down.
In program 9000, program the buttons on the phones as D001 - D006, however you want them to appear.
In program 9001, set ringing for those buttons.
No remote access to system.
Previous I enter program 10, has the lens but in 9000 I must be entering info incorrect because I
get data error.I will return and try it with the info given. Thanks
Thanks telephoneguy I was able to move lines just
fine. one question in the program 9001 what format in do you enter data for to set ringing,
for instance station-line-ring no ring (0,1)
9001>XXXX,01>1 = ring
9001>XXXX,01>0 = no ring
Are you really trying to tackle this job without a command manual?
DrPbx, that isn't something I would do and I've been doing that switch since 1997. He is gonna have fun...
Looks like he's just changing the buttons... Lord help him if he tried programming CO s from scratch without a command manual.
It just seems silly to come here for such simple questions. I am reluctant to help people that don't try to help themselves a little first. I would call having a command manual a requirement to ask for my assistance. But that's just me, I am kind of a technogeek snob when it comes to that.
Thanks Telephoneguy all went well. Just was entering three digits instead of four. By the way I do have the command manual woudn't think about touching this system without it. It's been a while since accessing program on this one only did it because lines were already programmed.
I just didn't see the simple mistake I was making. Thanks again
