Merlin Legend with expansion cabinet: I am using 2 digit dialing however in the expansion cabinet I have one 408 GS/LS MLX Card that has 4 digit extensions numbers 6702 to 6709,. I have tried single renumbering and Default Numbering to try and change the 4 digit extensions to 2 digits and neither has work. Can I please get some help?

Most likely you are trying to renumber those extensions to invalid numbers. When using two-digit dialing, the highest two digit extension number should be 59. I would convince the customer to switch to 3 digit. It is an easy transition if you just take all the two-digit extension numbers and renumber them with a 1 in front of them.... I never use two digit numbering on a Legend...or any system for that matter, other than the Partner, which can't be changed.

In WinSPM, run the Dial Plan report, and the Extension Directory report. Then study these dial plan options, and you'll find the best option is to put it in "set up space", then you will be able to renumber everything to a sensable scheme.

Tommy makes a great point. While I don't have to setup many new Legends or Magix systems nowadays, we always got in the habit of initially using the setup space to start with. It made things a whole lot easier.

Yup, setup space is the way to go. Plus, I rarely use 2 digit extensions.

Also, I am rather certain the last extension available in the 2 digit plan is 67.

But that's a moot point, just do set up space and move them to 3 digits after that.

Otherwise, your headaches will continue.
