Inherited a programmed legend and I need to figure out a few things. First, the system has an auto-attendant extension that automatically dials an outsde line. Unfortunately the outside line now requires 10 digit dialing and no one knows how to change it. Is there a way to figure it out? And, how do I fix it?

No idea about the attendant, but I'll try and check. The Legend is a V7 R12

Have you checked to see if it is using one of the system speed dials. Also, are you the one who made the change to 10-digit dialing or did you hire someone to re-route the calls? You could call them back to finish the job.

The auto-attnd may be transfering the calls to an extension that is call forwarded to the outside number. Need more info on the VM setup.

This stuff is all kind of greek to me. This is a situation with a company that has downsized tremendously and can no longer maintain their support agreement with Avaya. They are making a lot of changs including going from a T1 to 8 CO lines. I do have a copy of WinSPM. Is there any way to pull the information about the setup from that and post it here to assist you guys in assisting me?

You have alot of changes to make, I would suggest you bring in a tech or you may find yourself in trouble real fast.

Thanks, but that's not an option. Any help would be readily appreciated.

Might it be possible to pay for tech support over the phone from one of the moderators? I do not wish to be negative, but you are in way over your head here and need a lot of help. This is not something that can be handled with a quick sentence or 2. I am sorry that you probably do not want to hear that, but it is the truth. Would you bring in an alarm technician to administer a Linux network?

That does sound like a good plan for the conversion from the t1 to the 8 port DID board. However; all I would really like to try and tackle at the moment is the modification of the outbound dialing issue. I have all the manuals and will go through them to see if I can figure it out for myself. I was just hoping that this forum could help direct me to the proper place to start.
