I have been put in charge of supporting the phone system at my work and I know nothing about these phones. We recently got a new employee and when she receives an external call, the call goes to a totally different phone. This only happens with external calls.

More than likely there is flexicall or Call forward external calls turned on. Try to dial this code.

#17710 from the phone in question. See what happens.

I thought that too so when I tried to dial the #17710 I couldn't. I dialed #177 and I got a secure line off message. It doesn't let me dial the whole code.

Try FEAT display on the terminal to see what features active at the station.

Leave the handset down and dial #8. Using the volume up and down keys see if call forward external is sent to that extension. If it is it can be turned of by dialing #10 or 10 depending on software revision or upgrades from earlier numbering plans.

Scratch that, its a non-display phone. See if you can snag a 120d or display phone for a bit to do that.

I cancelled all types of call forwarding and it still doesn't work. Another wierd thing is that she can receive internal calls but if she doesn't answer it will never go to her voicemail. I had her set up her mailbox again but that didn't work.

from her phone dial #142 and the extension number to voicemail. that should fix the voicemail not picking up.
