I have to make a correction: according to the CP 100 I&M guide, everything, including the messages, is stored on the PC Card that also includes the OS. Apparently, the hard drive is only included with the CP 150, even though the CPU (a Motorola PowerPC that used to power older Apple machines) is the same in both boxes.
Nortel also claims, in the CP 100 sales brochure, "never-full mailboxes" (Nortel document # nn101740-092203.pdf)
I still think you probably will have to reset the CP, thus losing all programming.
Now, there are utilities to look into ANY kind of PC card and ANY filesystem in order to erase files...but that may be too drastic.
Edit: Another similar hack would be to use the BRU to backup, find the GD mailbox message store, delete it, and restore the backup with an empty, or otherwise messed up GD mailbox. Then proceed to initialize it.
