Have cics with flash mail answering calls on 4th ring. At times customer will look at sets and line icon will be active but phone never rang. This happens on all lines. Touch line button and display says "line in use" with no location. Have to go to RJ open pair to release call. Trunk cards have been changed, Trunks are supervised, any ideas. Thanks Tony

Make sure the systems has not been compromised. "Line in use" could very well be an outbound transfer.

The IRAD is turned off. Also it always is more then one line up on a phantom call. I can see rustynails point but customer says phone never rings. Mail set for four rings. They look at set's and lines are up. If someone was coming into system and transfering out the phone would have to ring before they can get to the mail, right. One thing I have not tried, before I knock down the lines I should see if they are connected at the RJ thru the switch, Thanks Tony

Check for...

with a butt set see if anyone on the lines before disconnecting.

You say DS is is on, but is disconnect actually being sent.

Going to VM without ringing a set... look for forward on busy on any of the ringing sets.

If you listen with your butt set and have someone call into the AA from an outside line, listen on the incoming line and you should hear the disconnect. Even connect your toner and you should see the light toggle. Every time I run across this, I call the Telco fist and confirm they are sending disconnect. Seems like all the telco's are hiring newbies and some don't add all the features like they should.

Two girls later and I'm back.....lol...been gone a while but see same faces still here. Lol
