We have to move a MICS system that has a Flash 4 and a NAM/Prelude for ACD only. The NAM is 2 port copper and located far away from the MICS.

1. is there a feature code to tell you what DN the NAM is on? (similar to F985).

2. Is there a way to backup the NAM before shutting it off. Do I need just a blank floppy and go into F915?

many thanks!

Low range voice mail code F905 should give you the NAM.

I was told my Cintech to use only a brand new disk for back up and not to use a re-formatted disk.

FYI, nothing from F910 to F949 worked for the Prelude. Oh well.

We just shut it down and moved it, with success.

Quick question, what is the purpose of 'backup extension' for the NAM/Prelude? The system would not fully boot without a certain extension being in service. On the monitor it gave an error message. Once we hooked up that extension, bingo ACD worked.

Each Queue/Skillset is associated with a particular DN. It's been a while since I've seen a Prelude, but I do recall that DN needed to be a LIVE set. CallPilot based Call Centers still have a DN associated with each skillset, but will work without a phone attached.

ok, makes sense! We do mostly Call Pilots for ACD anyhow. Will I ever be able to get into the Prelude via phone for admin purposes (F915..) or do we need to use the monitor/keyboard interface?
