Does anyone know where to find instructions on how to use a single line telephone (WE 2500) with this Panasonic system? Are there ways to select which CO to use, or ways to page someone using just a single line phone? There seems to be no information on the Panasonic website and it would be really helpful to know this without having to buy an expensive manual.
Oh and this is with a kx-td816 system, where I work but no one has any manuals or documentation for it. I don't even know if it can be programmed from the telephones or needs a PC to do it. Any help is greatly appreciated.
If the flexable features are still at default try this
outside line = 8 plus line number
paging = 32* or 33*
external page = 320
User Manual=

Well I tried to send you one but I guess your email won't take a large file.
I sent you another e-mail address that might work better. The help I am getting will finally bridge the gap between the office phone system and my 1a2 at home through voip.
Ok, lets see if this one goes through.
I am pretty impressed at how easy it was to program the system, and that I could hook up a rotary phone and it can dial and the phone rings! Also found good programming data on pamasonic help . com and activated MOH and CO lines without calling our installer who BTW is in jail on DUI. My next idea is to take a 1a2 set and rig up some kind of lamp driver circuit and perhaps get a working but physically damaged keyset and rig up the line lamps and hold button to get all the features, while still having that old look and feel. Funny how others freak out the first time they heard the phone ring! It would be even funnier to see them freak when the line lamps come on!
why not just wire it up to an old shoebox!
Well no one seems to have any left! Been asking around and you're lucky to even meet anyone who knows what western electric is!
Rotary500: I am pretty sure we have some Western Electric shoebox KSU's left around. I know we have some ITT 501's with the power supply, interrupter card, and line cards. Let me know if you are interested on one.
