Only one pic of the show frown

I don't think I've ever seen "Dark Pink"
Thanks Arthur

Thanks for sharing! Looks like a well attended show!

Yup. It was the first time a regional ATCA show was held on Long Island. The public was invited to attend, but very few showed up. It was a bad choice of weekend, and the venue was off the beaten path.

One "civilian" who walked in pointed to one of my 565 sets and said "I used to assemble those phones at Western Electric."

Next year maybe Sam will show up.

It would be nice if we could get a few groups to coordinate together for a large show.

The old guy on the left is me. The handsome youngster on the right is Jimmy Bublin, from Long Island Communications, Inc. He stopped by to see the show and to admire the red phones. He is a member of Sundance.

Arthur, I thought that was your stunt double laugh

Yes, correct. I'm on the left, and my stunt double is on the right. Hard to tell us apart, right?

What was that unit with buttons labeled "Maid's hall, Kitchen, Garage..."?

Aaron, can you point out, perhaps with a link to a photo, what you're referring.

That's a DeVeau candlestick phone, used as an Intercommunication system (think whole house intercom system)

The buttons buzz other stations through out the system, and the label indicates which button reaches which station.

The label is probably made from celluloid.

Yes Carl, I drooled when I saw the pic of the Strowger phone too. I'd trade every phone in my meager collection for one of those beauties!

Yeah, I'd even send the Mitel S-5 and SX-10 with all my phones for the Strowger :-)

What a piece of history. https://atcaonline.com/pictures/?id=335499476
