I have a customer with a cordless system.It is a 2-line cordless system with multiple handsets.

The base is a Panasonic KX-TG2000.

The handsets are Panasonic KX-TGA200B.

I know that these are discontinued.I need to find a reasonable source for replacement or a repair facility.

I have looked on the web and have found sources but they are all at ridiculous retail prices.

Can anyone help with this? Anyone know where I can get 2 of these handsets replaced or repaired?

Panasonic has an awsome repair and refurbishing facility in Suwannee. I don't have their number and address here at home, but I will try to remember to send it to you tomorrow (Monday).

Thanks Ed and Wayne. Customer is 2 ladies (about 65 or so) They are dying for this phone to work.These ladies very impatient.

I was hoping for an out right replacement.If I have to go the repair route I will.I pass the suwanee facility daily almost.

Years ago when I worked for the Atlanta Telephone Company I use to pick up all the Panasonic DBS equipment we sold from there.I wasnt aware that it was a repair facility as well.

No source for purchase leaves me no alternative I guess.

After request upon request from customers, we actually just started repairing those beasts. The common complaint is the dial pad buttons failing, usually "1". They also often have intermittent mic issues. We will only offer a 90 day warranty though as they are very cheaply put together to begin with.

What kinda turn around on time?

These ladies are absolutely driving me nuts over these phones.

I am sure you guys are very busy. Do you offer any kind of rush service ( for a little additional cost of course) ? If so tell me how much it will cost and how fast I can get them repaired. I will be more than happy to send the check in the box with the phones.

Those phones we repair only through our "budget repair" section.
The repair order must be submitted on-line at www.p1repair.com.
Turn around is usually 2-3 days here. The rest is just shipping back and forth. If they are in a rush, Priority Mail is a good shipping option for just a pair of phones. It is faster than UPS ground and cheaper than UPS 2nd or 3rd day.
As I explained in my PM, the keypad is very common, just try to get a better problem description than "it does not work right" from your customer on the second phone. Trying to find unspecified intermittent problems can really slow down the repair.

Just a quick note Mr G and Ed, Panasonic won't fix them anymore. They don't offer any parts beyond batteries and adapters. They do have an "exchange" program, where you can pay them a large ammount, send them your "bad" phone (as long as it is not too bad, no broken LCD or missing antena) and get a replacement. This is the main reason that we decided to start fixing these. There are hundreds of thousands of these out there and Panasonic decided to basically drop all parts or support for them.

Hi Everyone,

I had customers a few years back ask about repairing these phones and they too didn't like dealing with the pricy exchange program.

I then found a company called Barclay Enterprises that we started sending customers to since we didn't want to mess with the problem prone cordless phones.

You can find them at www.barclayent.com and the last time I checked they are still fixing them.

If you had wanted to note that you fix them as well, I would not have any issue with it. But to try to hide your advertising by using a blatant falsehood makes me wonder about you...
