I have created using Microsoft Publisher 2003 the early beginnings of my desired website.

I have purchased hosting space from Godaddy.com.

I am having difficulty bridging the gap between what I have created and what should appear.

See example here. www.greenlightconnection.com

Where shall we begin?

It's not you but what you are using. Look at the HTML source. Where are the img links and tags?

Try moving your images to the same directory as the main "index.html" file. It appears that you have them linked from the starting directory to "index_files" which godaddy either doesn't allow or needs to activate for you if they do support it.

If you look at the image properties they do have a proper address attached. The stylesheet looks like it is controlling "href" locations or so it would appear smile

That's what I did and with IE6 all I get greenlightconnection.com.

Now that I look at the code again I do see what you are talking about though.

When I built the page in Publisher the images were there. I have no idea why they didn't make the transition and the text and email hot spot did?

The text is part of the web page images are loaded separately from another location. You need to have the images stored in your folder at GoDaddy for your web page to link to. You may also need to change the link address that Publishing is using for a default. Did Publisher create a folder called index_files if so upload that to GoDaddy.

Image link = https://www.greenlightconnection.com/index_files/image3431.jpg

If you upload the images to your main folder remove the index_files/ from the address

I am getting closer. The information I am getting is very valuable yet not quite making the DING sound in my head if you know what I mean. It is comparable I suppose to someone giving driving directions to someone else. Drive down Main Street 3 blocks and turn left. The left turn only applies if you are going North, if you are going South the the proper turn would be to the Right.

I need some feedback please.
If you have both Firefox & Internet Explorer readily available please view my site from each and tell me if there is a major difference.

Looks good John, Firefox had a larger page but they both looked the same. Now you need to add a title and meta tags for the search engines.

Thanks guys :thumb:

The reason I asked is when I view with my IE the page is drastically different. Probably because I almost never use IE and have never updated it since the beginning.

I'll work on the title and meta tags when I finally get a marketable product.
