I am trying to register a smt-w5120 to a officeserv 7030. I am using a 3rd party AP with no security on it in an attempt to eliminate problems with registration.

Following are the settings that I am using:
Non SIP Mode
Static IP
Phone IP: 192.168.1.147
System IP: 192.168.1.151
Phone Gateway: 192.168.1.1
Netmask: 255.255.255.0
SSID - Auto
SSID List -
User ID - 3213
Password
QOS - ON

It then tries to connect.

ERROR: Invalid User ID

is there some settings that I have not setup with the 7030 phone server?

any help would be greatly appreciated.

Do you have a license for the phone?
Is register vowlan turned on?
Whitelist disabled or ip range in the appropriate whitelist?

*edit*

32xx are the default fixed ip phone extensions.
33xx are the default wireless ip phone extensions.
yes we have a license for the phone.

vowlan is turned on and Static WIP policy is enabled.

I also entered the appropriate IP address in IP Pool to make sure.

I changed the ITP information on ext 213 to use user ID 3301 as suggested.

ERROR: Invalid User ID
You can't use an itp extension for a wip phone, that's your issue.
You need to setup the extension you want add a wireless ip phone which is different the normal desktop ip phone.
Where is spot to add that info in? Sorry for my ignorance.
I'd you search for wip and/or wireless in dm you should find it.
If you enter extension 3301 as the user id the phone should register.
MMC 846 / 2.7.3 WIP Information
When I try to access 2.7.3 with OSDM software it says: "No Data!"
Then you don't have a slot in a virtual cabinet set as wipp.
is there a specific slot that should be setup as WIP?
Don't think so, never put wip phones onto a 7030

Sorry for my ignorance. where can I access the virtual port config settings to change a port to WIP? I am able to view the virtual cabinet information 2.3.0, but unable to make any changes.
In a 7030 it's not a virtual card change. You have to change the slots where you don't have dli/sli cards.
I can't remember off hand where you change.
I got it. Thanks to all for your help!
In 6.3.2 you have to define one of the virtual card slots as WiFiITP
