I have a problem with auto attendant in OS7030, v4.40.
if the outside Caller dials the number of an extension
& that extension is busy the caller will hear No Answer Message (the call is not answered), instead of station is busy.

I've programmed the OS7030 as follows:
MMC 812 Select country
Australia
MMC 601 Station Group
Choose group (506), and choose
[506] STN GROUP
TYPE: VMAA
MEMBER: 301
302
MMC 406 Trunk Ring
Configure for all lines to ring on group 506

Please I need help in the programming of Auto attendant, to play the correct messages ,

VMAA is the wrong group type, that is for 3rd party Voicemail's connected via extension ports.

You will find group 507 or 509 are the groups you are after that are pre configured by default.

Thank you for your reply

After i used the group 507 (remain pre configured by default) ,The problem remains as it is

On the other hand,"no license" message is appear on the telephone When I calling the 509 group

Seems like you dont have a license key did you copy and paste it using it tool find best way to make sure correct numbers are put in license program and did you use correct mac address and software level when license ordered

License that I have is AA license only,im sure its a correct license ,but the 509 group is BI-VMS (built in Samsung Voicemail group)
so the "no license" message appear when i calling 509 group

Please I still need help in the programming of Auto attendant, to play the correct messages

Please any suggestions
Never seen a AA licence. Get a VM licence and send your calls to 509 and program day main menu.

Set group 509 to AA-Only, will not work otherwise w/o a full VM license.

here in jordan , AA licence come built in in the PBX

same here set group type for 509 to AA-ONLY VM

Just an idea - I may stand corrected on this.
In my experience when a call is transferred to an extension via the voice mail. It's treated as a transferred call. My understanding is that only a call directly transferred to the voice mail box, will receive the busy greeting.

Programming Example:
Call transferred from VM - Selector code 2 is programmed as(EXT 401) - caller will hear the "no answer greeting"

Call transferred directly to VM box - Selector code 2 is programmed as (MB 401) - caller will hear the "busy greeting"

After I read your suggestion ,
I note the call directly transferred to the voice mail box as you told, but if the outside Caller dials the number of an extension
& that extension is busy the caller will hear No Answer greeting (the call is not answered), instead of station is busy.

How many call keys are programmed on the phone? When the second call comes in is there a key flashing? Either a trunk key or second call key?

Two call keys are programmed on the phone,When the second call comes in trunk key is flashing

O.K. as long as there is a vacant key available on the phone for a new call to come in on it is not "Busy" The phone would only be considered busy by the system if there is no way for a call to be presented to the set. If you think of it this way. Can the user see and answer another call even if they are on the phone? If the answer is yes then their phone isn't Busy, only not answered. If you removed the second call key and the trunk key and only had one path for calls to be answered on and it was in use, then it would be Busy.

After I removed the second call key and the trunk key ON the key set.
The problem still the same, because when The incoming call landed to busy extension ,the call
transferred immediately to the mailbox to play No Answer greeting .

Playing busy message when the extension is busy

Have you set a busy/no ans forward on the handset to the VM?
Posted By: Hoan Re: auto attendant OS7030 problem - 01/28/11 11:59 PM
no
Posted By: nameless Re: auto attendant OS7030 problem - 01/29/11 02:34 AM
Give that a try, and you can then restore the 2nd call key.

Having a busy forward the vm should then recognise that its a busy station rather then no ans.

Not sure about the MMC but somewhere you can set that the extn doesn't receive a second call. Could also be a software issue like I had. When transfered from voicemail(AA) and no answer the call will go to voicemailbox instead of the operator

What do you have set up in MMC 316 and MMC 102?
Posted By: John807 Re: auto attendant OS7030 problem - 01/29/11 07:51 AM
Is the busy greeting recorded? Have you gone into the voicemailbox and verified it?
Posted By: Hoan Re: auto attendant OS7030 problem - 01/29/11 11:27 PM
the busy greeting is not exist in the options of voicemailbox
Posted By: Hoan Re: auto attendant OS7030 problem - 01/29/11 11:32 PM
I have not programmed anything in MMC 316 and MMC 102
Posted By: nameless Re: auto attendant OS7030 problem - 01/29/11 11:50 PM
I don't do multiple greetings much, but i believe you have to assign which greeting is used for no answer and busy.

Have you gone to Open Block Table Extension Clicked on the Extension number then gone to Authorization and enabled Busy Greeting? In the Voice Mail Section of Programming?

Is the inbound call on a DID number or is it a analog trunk
Posted By: Hoan Re: auto attendant OS7030 problem - 02/03/11 04:30 AM
