No takers on the Talkswitch?
Jerry: May I ask why this system was removed from service?
Hi Ed,
Not a thing wrong with it. It's still in use. It's in mint condition sitting on my desk in my home office. Very tenderly cared for. I am upgrading to another Talkswitch.
OK, I will ask around. What are the capacities (lines and stations)? Since I know nothing about this system, it would be helpful to get as much information as I can.
Oh, I remember that system now. I can't help you in reselling it. Maybe someone else here can find a new home for it. My suggestion would be to try marketing it on E-bay but don't expect much . Sorry for the bad news.
Why should I not expect much? They are $695 new but of course I would not ask that but it's also not junk. It's fully functional.
It's just like driving a new car off the lot. The minute you do, the value is reduced by thousands. A two-line phone system is going to be tough to sell since there are so many other two-line products out there.
I still think that a few bucks spent on a ten-day listing on e-bay might be your best bet.
That's expensive for a 2 line phone system. If you haven't bought another talkswitch, the Panasonic 824 comes standard with 3 lines and 8 phones, and costs much less, even if new. I have found their systems to be very reliable, and they seem to hold onto their resale value too, if you ever decide to replace the system. What do you think Ed?
Edit: Pricing not permitted in general forums.
Thomas, I have to say that I agree with your line of thinking.
Sorry, Ed, I did not remember that price rule. PM me Jerry if you want more info. I have some new 824s here at the office I will sell.
