I am having trouble programming from base level.
I am using extenstion 10
is that same as station 10?
Is port ID also 10 in this case?
The words extension and station are the same for this system. Base level programming depends on what system you have. All you have listed is the part number of one type of phone. You need to tell us what KSU the phone is used on.

The NO tells me it should be a black KSU but the 8205 doesn't make sense, should be 308, 616, 824, or 1632. The 13A is the software rev.
02/97R is the date code with the R meaning repaired unit. J1 and J2 are for the 25 pair connector cables.
You should be able to program from station 10 or 11. The 6714 phone is not the best phone to program with. Your manual should have an overlay for that phone.
what phone do you suggest to use if 6714 not as good?
It's a standard black XE key system. They came 308 616 820 and 1024. I'm not sure what the S suffix is for, the N prefix means it does not have a clock, the K prefix means it does, so a display phone has no time display. This was the neatest of the first Executech phone systems in that all 64xx 66xx and 67xx phones, plus the old 35xx phones would work on it. The 1432B's and 2000's came along later.
It can be programmed from the first port (10). Base level programming entry starts with *#. The 6714 is the recommended phone for programming.

I must have had the digitech on my mind with 816 and 1632, Carl is right about the 8205 being 820S. The NO did come without the clock chip but many were upgraded in the field to include the clock chip so you may have it. As I said the manual should have an overlay for the 6714 phone. I always used a 6600 phone.

Since I can't see what you're entering for base level programming, I don't know. The phone needs to be plugged into the first jack of J1, which is extension 10. Base level access is a SIX character sequence. If that doesn't show up in your manual I would guess you don't really have an XE/XL book. After wiping the tears from my eyes over laughter, the XE, a nearly 20 year old box, has an SMDR receive port only :-) There is no other access into the system.

There is some tricky programming in that system, if you are having this much trouble with access, I suggest you get a certified installer in your area to help you get started.

Extension port #10 is the only one that can be used for programming. As mentioned before, the extension numbers and ports are the same on this system and cannot be changed.
