I have a senerio where the President has a call fwd immediate key (10) on his phone to his cell phone however more than 50% of the time it ring another co worker cell phone .I have worked with NEC & Comcast (the provider of the PRI Circuit)

It only happens when you call the DID that is assinged to the Pres. & it only happens when the Call is Fwd

if you call his DID when is not fwd it work fine

when you call his cell it goes to his cell

if you call his extension internally it work fine

The cell phone that it rings is also the auto fail over if the circuit goes down

ANY THOUGHTS WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED

Thanks

JD

Where they use that cell for the auto fail notification maybe they have setup a feature on the cell to forward to the other cell.

Have you tested what happens if the cell is busy or out of signal?

it only happens when the SV8100 phone has the forwarding on when its off everything works fine

you can call the cell phone directly an it always rings the cell phone you can call the DID and it always rings the DID

We captured the Dim Files and you see the call coming in and the call going out to where it is supposed to go however it rings on another cell phone

Try using call fwd to a virtual that goes to the cell, not a fwd directly to the number.

Make sure to check your DID translation tables to make sure your DID routing isn't set to go to off site speed dial bin if it's busy.

Did you program ARS??

Instead of a CF busy key, do this to test:

point the DID to a virtual, put the virtual in it's own timer class, set the cf no ans timer in that class to 3 or 4 seconds. Then make the call. fwd busy/no ans the virtual to the cell number.

Here's what is probably happening:
You are attempting to pass the caller ID of caller through to the cell phone and comcast is rejecting the call, rejected call is re-routed to the cell number that calls forward to if the circuit is down.

I think you may have something hear NEC did mention removing caller id pass thru 14-01-24 for a test but it wasn't explained to me like you mentioned which is on for all PRI trunks

which i believe I need for the mobile extension to work properly

and yes I do have ARS turned on

This is the only extension that has this set up so I guess I could send it over another route

Thanks!

The only problem is it happens intermittently but when it does it can be 5 calls in a row I tried to duplicate it on another phone with another DID and could not get it to fail .I even tried the moving the original DID to another phones and could not get it to fail works every time
