Has anyone setup a SLT phone to go off-hook and dial a speed bin? I looked in the manual and it doesn't appear to be available but wanted to see if anyone had a work around e.g. macro. Thanks.

I can't say I have done it but wouldn't it work to program button 1 for the slt as a speed bin then program off hook pref as enabled for button 1?

What system? XTS? Did you look in the manual for Hot Line or Ring Down?

MNCommunications suggestion should work for you.

It's an old STS v.1.00. I was able to program button 1 for line 001 and grabbed dialtone but when I programmed button 1 for bin 9020 it just stayed on intercom tone. Perhaps it's an issue with the version number.

Must be software related I tested this in our test room and it works great.
Offhook pref S/L to line one and program line one for SPD bin 9020 go offhook and call goes out.
Tested on ver.1.04

Just program SLT buttton one for the speed dial bin. It shouldn't matter what line it goes out on.

Tech support is sending me updated EPROMS. Scott, were you able to get this working on an STS or was it an STSe? Tech support didn't have version 1.04 in the lab but they did have 1.03 and could not get it working. They thought it wasn't available until the STSe came out.

Well now I'm just dumbfounded. I went to one of the customer's other locations that has an STSe version 2.00 and still cannot get an SLT to go offhook and dial a speed number.

Built-in SLT extensions 148 and 149. Button 1 programmed for speed bin 9020. Bin 9020 programmed for a local number. Stations 148 and 149 programmed for offhook preference button 1 enabled. Go offhook and just get intercom tone. I have no problem getting this to work on a digital station. Not sure what I'm missing.

Are you sure your entering the speed dial in correctly? and does it have line group access to the lines that would be used to dial the speed bin?

Try a personal speed bin 9000-9019 and see if it works? I know it works I just set one up the other day in the same fashion.

First off hook preference has to be enabled. Then you program the speed number to a bin, and put the bin number on button 1. Then you can dial 69101 and it should work. On an slt you might have to hit flash 69101 then the next time you go off hook it dials the speed number.

Well I had to do a work around. Programmed ext. 149 to call forward all calls to a speed bin. Programmed ext. 148 to have off-hook preference for button 1, button 1 programmed for station 149.

Below is what is available for SLT devices for off-hook preference according to May 2007 Issue 2.0 for the STSe.
􀂆 CO Line Access
􀂆 LCR
􀂆 Call to Hunt Group
􀂆 Call to Voice Mail
􀂆 CO Line Group Access
􀂆 Call to a station
􀂆 Call to UCD Group

I'm not sure how you guys got it working but nice job, I definitely could not. Thanks for all the help and input.
