I have a customer that has a dk280 and needs to add 5 DID numbers to the system. These numbers will be individual to 5 different people. These agents do not have phones so it will need to be configured to ring a phantom extension then forward to a mailbox....

I figured that it would take 2 hours to do this (counting on some customer confusion on what the want, setting up the mailbox and other normal b.s. )

Figured to be safe I would quote them a max of 3 hours... to do this....

How much time do you guys think it will take to do this....

Do they have a T1 or existing DID cards?

Yes, they have an existing T1 and DIDs already..

Thanks

The T1 is working on the system and there are about 40 DIDs already working. The other DIDs appear on phones, as stated I believe since these DIDs will not have phones and are for 5 different agents, we need to create 5 phantom extensions and assign 1 DID to each phantom extension then forward that phantom extension to a mailbox.

In Program 71-1~3 assign the did to go directly to VoiceMail in Day, Day1 and Night. In Program 71-4 set the VMID Code to 91XXX where XXX is the mailbox number. Now when someone calls the DID Voicemail answers with that mailbox. You don't need Phantom DN's. I just did this today and it works great!!

in your answer above and using dnis admin
on laptop and say walter used 0252 thru 0256 as 5 did # to go to mail direct is the dnis ref the last 3 digits of did 252,3,4,5,6 or dnis no. the correct entry
and day, day2,nite and vm mail id will all be entered across one line
also in ringing point id code for mail do u enter pdn of 1st ext of mail

Ken - I did it with DKiAdmin....

In DNIS Administration all across one line... enter the 3 DNIS digits in 71-0, VM pilot number in day, day2 and night and 91XXX [XXX=mailbox number] in 71-4.

Ideally you want to create a Dist hunt group in *40 which includes all of your vm ports, then use that pilot number for voicemail. OR You can use program 33 to create a serial hunt group and use the first VM DN. I've done it both ways.

Looks like Voryour can do it in 5 min but if you dont have the admin software and the training I think you should bid 5 hours and make the customer happy when you get it done in 4.
