Use quotes and astrisk. "DK40*" will get you the results you're looking for. Didn't try it but DK40* would probably do the same.
The search feature is faster than the old board, but we'll need to live with what it needs to get the results needed. When using advanced search you have to use the dates.
Not to offend anybody ...but this new setup is horrible..it doesn't work most of the time with "quotes" and or asterisk....there's priceless archived information that cannot be found now. Very tragic.
Sorry to dig up an old thread. But I am having this issue trying to find ACD topics in the Toshiba forum. If you search "acd*" it comes up with just one thread but I know that I have seen many ACD threads in the Toshiba forum. As a matter of fact there is one that was posted today that doesn't show up on the search. Is there any way that the developers at UBB Central can fix the search function or am I searching things the wrong way?
Just "thumbing through" the first 10 pages of Toshiba forums I found 9 threads that have ACD in the subject or body of the thread. (See links below) I just wanted to make sure that the board admins were aware of this issue with the search engine. Like you, when I searched for ACD I only found a couple of threads under the Toshiba forums using the advanced search. But it seems odd that its not picking up everything. I also tried searching with quotes and a * and was only able to find couple threads.
I like so many others love the support and assistance received from this board and I will do all I can to assist others on the forum as well.
Dave not sure what you're looking for but if I put in 7406 or "7406" in nortel and look the last 5 years I get 6 pages either way. You do have to keep trying different things until it give you what you're looking for.
