We have several IPOs running either 3.2, 4.2 or 6.0 and it has come to my attention that the list of local exchanges in the switches hasn't been updated in years. After looking through the software I couldn't see where I can do this.

Your help is greatly appreciated.

Are you routing calls based on the exchange? I am unsure as to what you are asking. You dont have to update anything regarding exchanges, that I am aware of....

I agree with Mongo5150 - unusual to have exchanges listed. If they were, it would be in ARS in the newer systems, LCR in the older ones.

Sorry for the long time to reply I got waylaid on an unexpected project.

We restrict most of the extensions to local calls only. So somewhere in the switch there needs to be a table that lists what are local calls.

I suppose we're just fortunate that toll calls require a leading '1'. It would be very difficult to keep current on all local exchanges, especially in a metropolitan area.
