Powered down an ACS this AM. Patched in new lines. Now the extensions often but not always won't pick up. For example, operator takes a call, puts caller on hold. Then none of the buttons on her DSS work. No buttons with an intercom programmed will work. This happens most of the time now but not all the time. We cannto determine if it is just when a call is on hold.

Sounds like you lost your programming. Are the battery's good, if so was your system backed up and on auto backup.

System was backed up to menmory and to PCMCIA card. This is a 509 Rev O. I did a system reset with save and it did not fix the issue. The buttons all show proper programming and the intercom does work about 3 of 4 times.

What do you mean by "patched in new lines"? Normally adding new CO lines wouldn't require powering down the system.

Have you got more than one phone connected to an extension?

OK, it is finally stable. It took repeated resets with restore to finally get it to work properly. I did nothing else. Now it has been stable all day Tuesday. No changes to the extensions were made. All I did was take out 6 lines and plug in 6 new lines. I powered down the system so people would not use it while I was swapping the incoming lines.

Don't forget, the R7 and 8 automatically loads whatever was backed up there from the internal backup when you power it up. So if you were backing up to the PC card be sure to restore from it as well as manually backing up to the internal memory when everything is working correctly. Sounds to me like something got corrupted, got backed up then you got the runaround powering down and restoring.
