I've got a customer with 2420 telephones for their receptionists. They also have an EU24 DSS/BLF for call transferring. I sold them headsets that were Avaya-rebranded Plantronics that were listed as compatible. They work mediocre to poor without the special signal cable attached, but great with the cable attached. They are wireless and if you have the cable on the phone activates the headset mode when you push the button on the earpiece like it should. The catch is that both the EU24 and the headset use the same jack on the bottom of the telephone.
I called Avaya/Plantronics support and the gentleman that assisted me didn't seem to know what a headset was or offer any assistance.
Does anyone know if it's possible to split the signal or any other way to make both the EU24 and the headset control work simultaneously?

Try to set it up like a 2410 using the ring detector cord. This way you wont use the EU24 port.

That's what we did initially but it didn't detect it close to consistently and then the hookswitch on the headset doesn't work.
