Have an 8434D with expansion module. Display on 8434D works fine. Page 1 of 8434 station programming, exp module flagged yes. Stations are programmed as busy-ind xxxx on exp module. You can push the button, it lights, calls the phone. If a person is on the phone it does not light up as a busy inidicator should.

Any ideas anyone? Thanks in advance.

I would first make sure that your using a local 48 power supply. I wouldn't pull power from aux. Next check you 'disp cap' page. Look at page 2 "queue/call status buttons", page 4 "facility busy indicators", and page 5 "queue/call status buttons". Make sure you didn't reach your limit.

I think there is also a limit to the number of busy indicators you can have on a station, but I can't find/confirm that.

Might be on to something there Liquid..can't find it on a per station basis but there is reference to "buttons per tracked resource" = 100 and number of indicators (station and trunk groups = 3600 depending on switch could have reached limit.
