So, Wierd one here. 7200s 5.03. Yesterday at around 1pm, the voicemail restarts From the activity log: [VM] System startup. Version 2.9.0.0 12-11-2019 10:00.00 Protected space is 104857600 bytes
It comes up with time and date 00:00 on Dec 23 2019.
When it hits what the system thinks is 3am, it does system maintenance and seems to adjust the time back to ~4pm but the date still shows as Dec23rd. Lots of calls come in and are stamped with that date.
Then this morning at about 9am when the ring plan time rolls over, it all shows correct.
So strange..... Almost like someone was screwing with changing the date but no corresponding notes in the programming logs.....
Anybody seen something like this before?

Ok, more info. Alarm history shows network errors on both the OAS cards before the VM resart, and actually a full system restart with the startup sequence showing that Dec 23rd date. History then shows another network error stamped at 3:38 am Dec 23rd with a recovery at 4am. No further alarms....

Could it be Dec 23 was the last time the data base was saved to the SD card? Try telling the system to do a dbase save every day at 5 AM or some other time after the VM maintenance finishes and see if that affects anything.
Sometimes the thoughts in my head get so bored, they go for a stroll through my mouth. This is rarely a good thing.

The super cap on your processor has died. 23-11-19 is the date in 5.03 firmware The system is restarting and restoring your db backup. The db backup doesn't include the time/date. The vm gets its time/date from the mp card. It also seems that ending the ntp server causes the vm time to get out of sync

Thanks!! Where does the super cap live on the board? Is that just a matter of remove and re-solder a replacement?
