I have a CIX670 with 4 expansion cabinets. i have a 16port BWDKU in slot 1 of the 1st cabinet where ports 12-16 appear to be dead. i have pulled the card and put back in with no change. My question is can i buy a new BWDKU and just put it in the same slot and all configurations/extension remain or is that info stored within the card itself and the new card would appear as a new configured card?

Should be no problem. Before you go through all of that though I would reset the system then check to make sure you have enough licenses and make sure you have stations programmed correctly on those ports.

Power off the system and just swap it out and you will be fine the as programming is held in the CPU and not the BWDKU.

Have you verified that it isn't the amphenol? A faulty amphenol could cause the end ports to not function as well.
