I have a Summit 80--[Version] Appl(R3.1.7), Boot(2.0Da), Kernel(R1.1.28), H/W(0) I cannot enable Idle Line Selection and disable Ringing Line Preference at the same time. When Idle Line Selection is enabled (PGM 121) and Prime Line (PGM 111) is HOT, Ringing line preference is also active even though it is disabled in PGM 111. If I change Prime Line to Warm--Ringing Line Preference is disabled (working like it should) but I do not have Idle Line Selection. Am I missing something or is this another glitch in the software? To clarify, I want to pick up the handset and get an outside line automatically to make an outgoing call. I do not want to be connected to an incoming call when I pick up the handset while the phone is ringing--I will push the line button on the phone that is ringing.

You could turn ringing off on that set. Unless you have them all set the same way. As long as they can hear another phone ringing, they can press the CO line button to answer.
Hurry up and wait...
