Hello,
I have been managing the basic functionality of our system for a few years now with emphasis on BASIC. A while back we had setup a sort-of round robin ringing. However, I have an issue with the first hop.
Ideally I want call to come into the main line at extension 829 and if Busy/No Answer then go to 831 then 830 and finally to voicemail (300). Unfortunately if I call the DID that is routed to extension 829 after a few rings it goes into my default operator line. If I call the DID that is routed to 831 it all works perfect. From there it goes to 830 and then to voicemail (300). The way I am managing this is by setting the 24-09-01 to "Call Forwarding busy or no answer" and 02,03,04 and 05 to the next extension (i.e. 831 for extension 829; 830 for extension 831; and 300 for extension 830).
Is there something that is overriding the Call Forwarding setting for extension 829?
I must me honest and say that I am not sure how 22-11-05 and 06 (Transfer Target 1 and Transfer Target 2) work and this might be part of the issue. I have tried configuring those settings for 829 the same as 831 (the one that is working) but I still get the same result.
Thank you very much for any help and Happy Thanksgiving to all.

22-11 target 1 sends the call to a ring group set up in 22-04, then overflows to target 2, another ring group from 22-04 (when set to busy/no answer). A third destination can be placed in the target field. That can be @XXX, where XXX is the voicemail box of the designated XXX. If you want it to go to 829, then 831, then 830, try target 1 829 (ring group with only 829), then target 2 (ring group with 831, then 830 in the target field with 830 set to CF b/NA to vm. The message should be in box 830. You can also use virtuals with delayed ringing set up.

Thank you very much helpifican,
That mostly worked except that the last transfer (from 830) is not going into voicemail. It just keeps ringing and ringing until it disconnects.
For clarification, does Target 1 and Target 2 override the settings set in 24-09? How can I setup Call Forwarding on 830 so that it does go to voicemail?
Thank you very much!

With @830 set in the target field, it should go to mailbox 830 after trying target 1, then target 2. It's the third option. If you want it to ring 830, then you may need to use virtual extensions with delayed ringing. 22-11, target = @830, target 1 = ring group with 829 in it, target 2 = ring group with VE in it. Place VE on x831, and 830 with 830 having it delay ring. Set timers accordingly. You may need to use different timer groups for the extensions to get timing right. This set up rings 829, then VE on 831 delayed ring on 830, then VM 830.
